The role is based out of Atlanta, GA.
The purpose of the Director of Engagement is to drive strategy, implementation, and evaluation for GFM’s development, marketing, mobilization/recruiting, and networking efforts. This ministry role is full time and support-raising is required. The Director of Engagement has the ability to work on site and from home on a regular basis.
Required Qualifications
- Must personally embrace GFM’s purpose, vision, values. and statement of faith
- Must identify as a maturing believer in Jesus Christ with a high view of Scripture (2 Tim 3:16-17; Col 3:16-17)
- Must demonstrate humility, teachability, and an ability to work well with others (Eph 4:15)
- Must display advanced interpersonal relational skills and be dedicated to peacemaking (Heb 10:24-25)
- Must function well both independently and in a team environment (1 Cor 12:25-26)
- Must be able use or learn internal communications and technology systems (Email, Google Drive, Slack, etc.)
- Must be prepared to experience significant missions training and discipleship through GFM’s Missionary Training School (in person sessions or online)
Recommended Experience
- A College Degree is preferred but not required; informal training in management, organization, leadership, and/or ministry also acceptable
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the development, execution, and assessment of the mobilization/recruiting process for GFM training programs
- Oversee the implementation of the annual fundraising/development plan
- Oversee the implementation of the annual marketing plan
- Assess, hire and train mobilization, marketing, and development staff
- Provide on-going, regular coaching/leadership to mobilization, marketing, and development staff
- Conduct semi-annual staff reviews for mobilization, marketing, and development staff
- Provide financial oversight of the budgets pertaining to mobilization, marketing, and development departments
- Help fill gaps with development, marketing, missions advising, church partnerships, ministry to ministry relations, and campus mobilization as needed
- Help oversee events/conferences that the mobilization team is involved with
- Speak at Perspectives classes, church events, missions conferences, etc.
